He served as Professor Emeritus - Faculty of Law - Queen's University - Kingston, ON. He served as Dean of Law - Queen's University - Kingston, ON (1993 - 1998). He served as Chair - Ontario Labour Relations Board (1976 - 1979). He served as President - Canadian Industrial Relations Association (1991 - 1992). He served as Chair - Ontario Public Service Grievance Board (2002 - 2013)

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 1960). He served in HMCS Cataraqui for UNTD 1960-1961. He served in HMCS Cornwallis 1961 and 1962. He served in HMCS Hochelaga in 1963. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (RCN(R)) 1964. (He was released in 1965.)
