Biography
He was a resident of the US at time of his enlistment. After his naval service he joined MCCL (container Shipping Line operating out of Halifax) as Vice-President 1973 - 1983.

He was appointed as a AC/2 RCAF (With seniority dated 03/08/1942). He served in RCAF Toronto for #1 ITS 1943. He served in RCAF Windsor for #1 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in RCAF Dunnville for #6 Service Flying Training School. Awarded Pilot's Wings 10/12/1943. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF (With seniority dated 10/12/1943). He served in RCAF Dunnville for #6 Service Flying Training School as Instructor 1944. He was appointed as a Flying Officer RCAF (With seniority dated 10/06/1944) He served in RCAF Hagerville as Instructor 1945. (Transferred to RNVR 07/05/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 07/05/1945). He served in UK for Training Courses 1945, (Transferred to RCN). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN 1945, (With seniority dated 10/06/1945). He served in 825 Squadron as Pilot 1946. (Transferred to RCN through Short Service Appointment 30/04/1947). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1952, He served on IF Course 1952. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-881 Squadron as Executive Officer 1953. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 10/06/1953). He served in NHQ on Staff of Director of Naval Aviation as Staff Officer (Plans) 1954. He served in HMCS Haida as Executive Officer 1957. He served in HMCS Stadacona as Manning Commander (East Coast) 1959. He served in HMCS Swansea (In command) 1962, He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1964).
