Military Service
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in RNAS Ballyhalbert for 899 RN Squadron 1943. He served in RNAS Belfast for 899 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Argus for 899 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Khedive for 899 RN Squadron 1944.

Anecdotes
He was killed in action during Operation Dragoon in the invasion of the south of France 18/08/1944 when he flew into a hill near Aix-en-Provence attacking enemy transports during the invasion of southern France.
