| He was the father of Charles J. Clayton. His home given variously as Pipestone, Manitoba (probable birthplace). He was living in Victoria BC working on the staff of the Daily Colonist newspaper at the time of his recruitment. He took flying instruction at the Curtiss Flying School in Toronto ON and passed the flying test on 06/09/1916. After the war he was employed by the Canadian Air Board. He became a Dentist in Victoria, graduating U of T Faculty of Dentistry in 1924. |
