Biography
He was educated in Jamaica, then Ridley College in St. Catharines, Ontario and Trinity College, University of Toronto.He graduated from Trinity College, U of T, with a BA in 1954.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1951. He served in HMCS York for UNTD 1951-1954. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (S) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1954). He was appointed as Lieutenant (S) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/05/1956). In 1956 he served in HMCS York. (He was released.)

Anecdotes
Bill Clearihue noted that "He was a well respected teacher at William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute in Downsview, which is one of, if not the top-rated high school in the GTA. He was a Charter Member of the UNTD Association of Upper Canada when it formed in 1988 and was still a member when it transitioned into the national UNTDA in 2001."
