In 1978 she was appointed as an Officer Cadet (NR). In 1978-1979 she served in HMCS Brunswicker for ROUTP. In 1979 she served in the ROUTP for NROC (Esquimalt) for Training. She was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (N) (NR). She was appointed as a Lieutenant (N) (NR). She was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (NR). She was appointed as a Commander (NR). She served as the Commanding Officer of HMCS Malahat in 1999. (She was released.)
