Biography
After his naval service he joined Spartan Air Services 1957 . He joined the Department of Transport as Helicopter Duties 1959. He served in CGS Baffin as Helicopter Pilot, CCGS Labrador as Helicpter Pilot, CHS Sir Humphrey Gilbert as Helicopter Pilot, CCGS Tupper as Helicopter Pilot, CCGS Thomas Carleton as Helicopter Pilot, CCGS John A. MacDonald as Helicopter Pilot, Moncton NB to Establish Helicopter Base 1960. He joined Transport Canada HQ (Ottawa) as Civil Aviation Inspector 1964. (He was retired from Transport Canada 01/07/1986.)
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNVR 1943 under "Y" Scheme Program, (Transferred to Air Branch). He was appointed as a A/Leading Airman RNVR. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for Pilot Course #58 1943. He served in RCAF Goderich for #12 EFTS 1944. He served in RCAF Aylmer ON for #14 Service Flying Training School. (CFR). A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 11/08/1944). #9 PAFU Errol Scotland, NAIFS Hinstock for 758 (C) Squadron for Instrument Flying Course, Herrstridge Somerset for #2 Fighter School OTU for A Flight. He served in RNAS St. Merryn Cornwall for Air Firing Course. He served in H.M.S. Ravager for Deck Landing Qualification 1944. He served in H.M.S. Attacker/RNAS Katkurunda for 879 Squadron (Seafire) 1945. He served in RNAS Nutts Corner for 879 Squadron, Demobilized. Afterwards he worked in accounting and banking. Immigrated to Canada and joined Bank of Montreal 1948. (Short Service Appointment 13/07/1949). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 13/07/1949). RCAF Trenton for Refresher Flying Course 1949. He served in HMCS Shearwater 1949, 826 Squadron as Pilot 1950. He served in HMCS Magnificent 1951, 881 Squadron 1951, 881 Squadron 1951, 743 Squadron 1952, VU-32 Squadron 1952. He served in NHQ For Special Duty on Course at RCAF Station Centralia 1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Additional for Air Traffic Control Duties 1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater for Duty With HU-21 Squadron 1956, Released 1957.
