He was appointed as an AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF. RCAF for Pilot Training, (Transferred to RNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. He served in RNAS Hal Far Malta for 733 RN Squadron 1945
