(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1963). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) for Training 1963. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1964). He served in HMCS St. Laurent. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1965). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 02/09/1968). He was appointed as a MAJ (PLT). He served in HS-423 Squadron as Pilot. (He was released.)
