Biography

After his naval service he worked with the BC Bureau of Economics and Statistics as an economist 1968. He was the Research Planning Officer with the City of Victoria 1969-71. He was appointed as the Administrative Assistant to the Municipal Manager City of Victoria 1971-76. He was appointed as the Deputy City Manager & City Clerk City of Victoria 1976-87. He was appointed as the City Manager of the City of Victoria BC 1988. He was retired.

(Short Service Appointment). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 03/09/1956). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment)for Training 1956. He was appointed as a Midshipman (SSA) RCN. He served in HMCS Niagra for USNAS Pensacola FL USA for Flight Training 1958. He served in HMCS Niagara for USNAS Memphis TN for Pilot Training Course. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1959). He served in USNAS Kingsville TX for Pilot Training Course 1960. He served in USS Antitam for Deck Landing Qualification. He was Awarded Wings 01/05/1960. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1959). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1960. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 Squadron 1960. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1962). He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron 1962. (He was released 1963.) (Transferred to RCN(R) 1963). He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCNR) (With seniority dated 01/05/1962). He served in HMCS Malahat for VU-33 Squadron 1963. (He was released.)
