Biography
Prior to World War Two he served in the deep-sea merchant navy and tugs in Victoria BC. After his naval service he taught school and became a Life Skills Coach in Prince Albert SK.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Engine Mechanic RCAF. He served in RCAF Uplands. He served in RCAF Jericho Beach. He served in RCAF Mont Joli. He served in RCAF Alliford Bay. He served in RCAF Sitka AK. He served in RCAF Cole Harbour. (He was released 1945.) After his airforce service he worked for Crown Assets in Victoria BC 1946. (Transferred to RCN 01/09/1946). He was appointed as a Air Artificer 2/c RCN 01/09/1946. He served in HMCS Naden for New Entry Training 1946. He served in HMCS Naden for Chief and PO's Divisional Course 1946. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Station Dartmouth for Air Maintenance Section 1947. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Warrior for 18th CAG 1947. He served in H.M.S. Condor for Airframe Training 1948. He served in HMCS Shearwater for School of Aircraft Maintenance as Instructor 1949. He was appointed as a C2AT4 RCN 1949. He served in HMCS Shearwater for School of Aircraft Maintenance as Phase Coordinator 1949. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Magnificent for VS-880 Squadron as Squadron Chief 1952. He was appointed as a C1AT4 RCN 1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater for School of Naval Aircraft Maintenance as Instructor 1954, (CFR 01/05/1955). He was appointed as a A/Commissioned Officer (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1955). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for 84th Officers' Divisional Course 1955. He served in HMCS Shearwater for School of Aircraft Maintenance as Examination Officer 1955. He served in the RN Engineering School 1955. He was appointed as a Commissioned Officer (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1955). He served in HMCS Shearwater as Planning Officer Air Maintenance 1957. He served in HMCS Patriot on Staff of Commanding Officer Naval Divisions as Staff Officer (Air Engineering) for VC-920 (Reserve) Squadron 1958. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1957). He served in HMCS Shearwater for Aircraft Maintenance Depot 1962. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VU-32 Squadron as Senior Technical Officer 1967. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Maintenance Planning Officer 1969. (He retired 03/04/1971.)
