Biography
He graduated in Electrical Engineering from UofT in the Spring of 1950. After his naval service he worked with Nova Scotia Department of Development. (He retired in 1986). Afterwards he joined the Lavalin Group in 1988 for the Weather Network of Atlanta Georgia. The project was completed in 1990.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC 2/c (Pilot Candidate) RCAF. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for #7 ITS 1943. He served in RCAF Dafoe SK for Bombing and Gunnery Course, Awarded Bomb Aimer Wings. He served in RCAF Rivers MB at #1 CNS for Navigator's Course. He served in RAF Bourne for Marshall's Flying School 1944. He served in RAF Limivady for Advanced Flying Unit 1944. He served in RCAF Summerside for Bomber Conversion 1945. (He was demobilized.) (Transferred to RCNR). He was appointed as a EA 2/c (Officer Candidate UNTD) RCN(R) 1946. He served in HMCS York 1946. He served in HMCS Haida for Electrical Department 1947. He served at Stelco Hamilton ON for Electrical Department 1948. (Transferred to the RCN). He was appointed as a Naval Cadet RCN 1949. (Awarded Observer Wings 1949.) He served in HMCS Stadacona for Electrical School as Instructor 1949. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN 1949. He served in HMCS Ontario for sea Training 1950. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 30/11/1950). He served on the Long Electrical Course 1950. He served in USNAS Jacksonville for Specialist Training 1951. He served in USNAS Memphis for specialiist Training 1951. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RCN. He served in HMCS Stadacona for Electrical school as Staff Officer Air Electrics 1952. He served in HMCS Magnificent on Staff of 30th Carrier Air Group as Air Electrical Officer 1953. He served in NHQ For Duty at No.12 TSU RCAF Toronto as Assistant Naval Aircraft Overseer (De Havilland) and as Air Electrical for Naval Projects at Philco (Canada) Toronto 1955. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/05/1958). He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Bonaventure for VS-880 as Electrical Officer Squadron 1959. He served in HMCS Restigouche as Electrical Officer and Senior Watchkeeper 1959. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Deputy Electrical and Fleet Planning Officer 1960. He served in NDHQ on Staff of Director Avionics as Design Authority for Airborne Sonar (Sea King) 1964. He was appointed as a Commander RCN 1968. He served in NDHQ on Air Staff as Staff Officer (Test and Development) 1968. He served in CFB Cold Lake as Base Technical services Officer 1970. He served in CFB Halifax on MARCOM HQ Staff as Staff Officer (Air) 1972. He served in CFB Halifax on Staff of MARCOM HQ as Director Technical Resources 1973. (He resigned 1974.) (He was qualified for air electrical engineering duties)
