Military Service
He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR. (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR. He served in HMS Dqaedalus for 767 Squadron 1943. He served in HMS Daedalus for 825 RN Squadron 1943.

Anecdotes
He died on a flying exercise at sea in a flying accident on 13/01/1943 when his plane was overdue from exercises in the Redhead-Carnoustie area. He was believed to have ditched.
