Biography
He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1915. He then took a forestry course 1915-1916.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 01/05/1916). He served in RNAS Redcar for Flying Instruction 1917. He served in RNAS #8 (Naval) Squadron 1917. He flew 15 operational missions.

Anecdotes
He was killed in action on 29/04/1917 having been shot down by Baron von Richtofen (his 52nd victim). His body was never recovered.
