Biography
After his naval service he purchased a tractor trailer and drove commercially for a freight company on the west coast.

He served in HMCS Gloucester 1962. He served in HMCS Naden for Preparatory School 1963, (Short Service Appointment). Officer Cadet (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1964). He served in HMCS Venture (Officer Training Establishment) 1964. He served in HMCS Yukon for Sea Training 1964. He served in RCAF Centralia for Flying Training 1965. He served in RCAF Portage La Prairie for Flying Training 1965. He was Awarded Wings 01/02/1966. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1966). He served in RCAF Rivers for Canadian Joint Air Training Centre 1966. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 01/02/1966).
