He joined the Dominion Wireless Service about 1911. In 1920-1923 he served at Point Grey Radio Station as a Wireless Telegrapher. In 1923-1927 he was transferred to Estevan Point Radio Station. In 1939 he was a Wireless Telegrapher at Cape Lazo Radio Station. In 1939 he was transferred to Vancouver Radio Station VAB. |

He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Operator (3rd Class) RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/08/1916). In 1916-1918 he served in HMCS Rainbow for Wireless Telegraph Duty (West Coast) at Gonzales Hill Radio Station. (He was demobilized.) |
