Military Service

He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN 1914. He served in HMCS Niobe 1914. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 24/09/1914). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN. (Transferred to RNCVR), He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 03/09/1915). He served in HMCS Niobe 1915. He served in HMCS Niobe For Special Service at Halifax 1915. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNCVR. In 1916 he served in HMCS Niobe as Additional for Miscellaneous and Special Services. (He was demobilized.)
