Biography
After retirement he taught school at Appleby College Oakville ON. He was a professional photographer 1966-1973.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as an Ordinary Seaman RNVR 01/01/1942. He served in RNAS Dartmouth (Nova Scotia) 1942, Pilot Training Course 38 (H.M.S. St. Vincent) 1942. Naval Airman 2/c RNVR 1942. He was appointed as an A/Leading Airman RNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1942). He served in #14 EFTS Elmdon for Elementary Flying Training 1942. He served in #31 SFTS Kingston for Qualification as Pilot 1942. (CFR). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 05/03/1943). He served in #9 AFU Errol For Advanced Flying Training 1943. He served in RNAS Crail For Operational Flying Training 1943. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 05/03/1943). He served in H.M.S. Illustrious for 810 Squadron (Barracuda) 1943, (Transferred to RCNVR 01/01/1944). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) He served in NHQ For Accident Investigation and Prevention Section 1949. He served as Commanding Officer of 880 Squadron (Avenger) 1951. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 05/09/1952). (He served on Exchange To USN 1954). He served in VX-1 USN Squadron (Key West Florida) as Liaison Officer 1954. He served in HMCS Star/HMCS Patriot as Staff Officer (Air) 1955. He served in HMCS Iroquois as Executive Officer 1957. He served in HMCS Huron as Executive Officer 1958. He served in RCAF Staff College Course 1959. He served in NDHQ On Staff of Director of Naval Aircraft Requirements 1960. (He was retired 11/11/1960.) (He was qualified as a pilot for naval aviation. He was qualified with Watchkeeping Certificate 1946.)
