He served in RCAF Kingston for 31 Service Flying Training Course 1943. He was Awarded Wings. He served in RAF Errol for 9 AFU 1943. He served in RNAS Hinstock for Naval Instrument Flying School 1943. He served in RNAS Crail for 785 RN Squadron for ASW Course 1943. He served in RNAS Easthaven for Deck Landing Training in 767 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Argus for Deck Landing Qualification 1944. He served in RNAS Worthy Down for 756 RN Squadron for WAG Training 1944. He served in RNAS Stretton for 798 RN Squadron 1944.
