Biography
He was qualified as an Electrical Engineer. He left the Navy to enter Dalhousie medical school, obtaining an MD degree in 1967. Then he specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, FRCPC in 1972. He practiced in Ottawa ON, retiring in 2006.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (L) (ROTP) RCN (With seniority dated 23/10/1953). In 1953 he served in HMCS Cataraqui for UNTD. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1957). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/06/1957). He servedin HMCS Stadacona for Long Electrical Course. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RCN (With seniority dated 21/07/1959). He served in HMCS Shearwater/HMCS Bonaventure for VU-32 Squadron as Air Electrical Officer 1959. (Transferred to RCN(R)). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (L) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 25/09/1959). He served in HMCS Scotian 1963. (He was released.) (He was qualified for air electrical duties.)
