Biography
After his naval service he joined Ship Safety Department (Canada Steamship Inspection) as Inspector and Examiner of Masters and Mates at St. John's and Lewisport NF. Transferred to Ship Safety at Transport Canada Ottawa 1982. Transferred to Equipment and Operations Section 1984. Transferred to Coast Guard Northern Region as Senior Nautical Surveyor for the Arctic. Superintendent Ship Safety Operations Central Region Toronto 1989-93 when office moved to Sarnia ON.
