He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 03/1917. He transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in 04/1917. He was trained in England. He served in #88 Squadron in 1918 carrying out reconnaisance flights. On 31/07/1918 his gunner drove down a Pfalz fighter. On October 30, 1918 he drove down a Fokker D-VIII. |
