Bill Clearihue reports that "In the summer of 1990, back in the PCO, he found himself by default, the senior-most Governmentt official in town when the Oka Crisis broke out. It was he who put together the management team that ultimately stabilized the situation. Because of his experience in the Privy Council, he was named as an Advisor to the Gomery Royal Commission (2004 - 06) looking into the Federal Gov’t Quebec Sponsorship Scandal." |
