Biography
He was a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and a Professional Engineer. After spending twelve years in Montreal, the family moved to Oshawa in 1977 where he established an area office as the Manager with RoyNat Limited. He was a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1954. He served in HMCS Brunswicker for UNTD 1954-1957. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1957). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN(R). He served in HMCS Brunswicker 1957. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN(R). He served in HMCS Carleton. (He was released.). (He was qualified for air engineering duties.)

Bill Clearihue reports that: "He was a Charter Member of the UNTD Association of Upper Canada, when it formed in 1988. At that time he was living in Oshawa. He was a member of the current UNTDA until at least 2002. His tenure as President of the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce, was 1985-1986 "
