After his naval service he worked as a management consultant with KPMG and Coopers Lybrand.

He served in #9 AFU 1944. He served in #1 NAFS 1944. He served in H.M.S. Goldcrest for 748 RN Squadron 1944. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 22/12/1944).
