Biography
He graduated from U of T. After his naval service he worked on civilian staff at NDHQ on Staff of Director Naval Requirements as Staff Officer Ship Survivability Requirements 1988. Then he served as Acting Director of Auxilliary Vessels 1989. (He retired again 17/11/1992.)

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (E) (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 04/02/1950). He served in HMCS York for UNTD 1949-1952. (Transferred to RCN 1952), He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 22/09/1952). He served in HMCS Ontario for Sea Training 1953. He served in HMCS Magnificent for Training 1954. He served in HMCS Niobe for RN General Education Warfare and Technical Courses 1954. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 22/09/1953). He served in the RNB Portsmouth for Lieutenant's Qualifying Courses 1955. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 01/11/1955). He served in HMCS Cayuga as Communications Officer 1956. He served in H.M.S. Dryad for Long Navigation - Directional Course 1958. He served in H.M.S. Harrier for Training 1959. He served in HMCS Bonaventure for VF-870 as Direction Officer for Direction Duties 1959. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VF-870 as Direction Officer 1961. He served in HMCS Restigouche as Operations Officer 1963. He served in HMCS Saskatchewan as Operations Officer 1963. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/11/1963). He served on Staff of Commander Second Canadian Escort Squadron as Staff Officer Operations 1965. He served in CFB Toronto for Canadian Forces Staff and Command College for Staff Course 1966. He served on Staff of Commander Canadian Fleet as Staff Officer Operations 1967. He served in HMCS Skeena as Executive Officer 1969. He served in HMCS Skeena (II) (In temporary command 23 Jun 1969 - 11 Aug 1969). He served in HMCS St. Laurent as Executive Officer 1970. He served in NDHQ on Staff of Director General Operational Resources Coordination 1971. He served in NDHQ as DFSC (Maritime) 1975. He served in HMCS Carleton as Staff Officer Administration Training 1976. He served in NDHQ on Staff of Director Maritime Operations Plans and Reserves 1978. He served in CFB Esquimalt for Naval Reserve Training Centre as Vice-Commandant 1980. He was appointed as a Commander (MARS) 01/08/1981, CFB Esquimalt as Queen's Harbour Master and Pacific Command Salvage Officer and as Pacific Command Pollution Control Officer 1981. (He retired 01/11/1982.)
