Biography
After his Air Force service he worked as a bush pilot in northern Manitoba 1947-1948. After his RCAF service he joined the Department of Transport as Air Traffic Controller in Victoria and Vancouver. His last position was as Manager of the Vancouver Harbour Air Control Tower. He retired again December 31, 1985.

He was appointed as a Aero-engine Technician RCAF (With seniority dated 03/05/1940). He served in RAF Odinham Hants for #400 Squadron 1941. He served in RAF Croydon Surrey for 414 Squadron 1941. He re-mustered to Aircrew (Pilot Candidate) 01/04/1943. He served in RCAF Saskatoon for 7 ITS. He served in RCAF Virden MB for Elementary Flying Training. He served in RCAF Yorkton SK for 11 Service Flying Training School. Awarded wings. (Transferred to RNVR 01/06/1945). He was appointed as an A/Petty Officer Pilot RNVR (With seniority dated 01/06/1945. He served in H.M.S. Macaw 1945. (CFR). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1945). He served in RAF Ternhill for 5 AFU 1945. He served in RNAS Hinstock for Instrument Flying Course 1945. (Transferred to RCNVR 31/12/1945). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1945). He served in RNAS Fearn for 826 Squadron 1946. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/07/1945). (He was demobilized.) He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1945). He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Officer's Divisional Course 1946. He served in HMCS Warrior for Sea Training 1946. He served in RNAS Dartmouth for 743 Squadron 1946. He served in HMCS Uganda for Watchkeeping Training 1946. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/12/1946). (He resigned 17/02/1947.) (He re-joined the RCAF in 1948.) He was appointed as a Flight Lieutenant RCAF 1948. He served in the Air Traffic Controller Branch. (He was retired 1970.)
