He held US Aviator's Certificate No. 377 earned at the Stinson Flying School at San Antonio TX USA. (His instructor weas Marjorie Stinson). He was a student at McGill University at the time of his recruitment into the RNAS. |
Military Service |

He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. On 03/05/1916, he served in the first planned flying course at RNAS Windermere. He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS. He served in RNAS Killingholme 1916. He served in H.M.S. Engadine 1917. In 197 he served in HMS Campania. He served in RNAS East Fortune as a Flying Instructor. (He was demobilized.) In 1930 he hoined the RCAF Reserve. In 1930 he served at RCAF St. Hubert in No. 18 (Bomber) Squadron as Officer in Command). In 1936-1939 he served at RCAF St. Hubert in 438 Squadron (In command). He was mobilized for Second World War service. He served at training centres at Montreal, Saskatoon, Brantford, and St. Hubert. He retired as a group Captain RCAF. |
