He attended McGill University.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Electrical Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 28/05/1943) (Later backdated to 1942). In 1944 he served in HMCS Cape Breton. In 1944 he served in HMCS Bytown for NSHQ. He was appointed as an A/Electrical Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 26/05/1945). (He was demobilized 07/02/1946.) He was appointed as a Commander (L) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 31/12/1951). (He was released.)
