Biography
After his naval service he graduated from Queen's University in 1951 with a mechanical engineering degree.

He was appointed as an AC 2/c RCAF 1942. He was appointed as a LAC RCAF 1943. RCAF Windsor for 1 Elementary Flying Training School 1943. RCAF Camp Borden for 1 Service Flying Training 1943. Awarded Pilot Wings 1944. (CFR). He was appointed as a Pilot Officer RCAF 05/05/1944. RCAF Maitland 1944. RCAF Trenton for 1 Flying Instruction School 1944. RCAF Dunnville for 6 Service Flying School as Flying Instructor 1944. RCAF Trenton 1944. (Transferred to RNVR 1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 1945. He served in H.M.S. Seaborne 1945. He served in H.M.S. Macaw 1945. RN College Greenwich 1945. RAF Ternhill for 5 AFU 1945. He served in RNAS Hinstock for Instrument Flying School 1945. Demobilized 06/12/1945.
