Biography |

He grew up in Montreal and graduated from McGill University's School of Commerce in 1959. He worked for Greenshields in retail and institutional sales moving into sales management. In 1967, he assisted in forming a firm of financial and investment counsel and became a managing partner. In 1981, he was ordained a Minister in the United Church of Canada and served in parish ministry for 11 years in Quebec. He served in other areas of the United Church: Chairman of Finance of M & O Conference, a member of The Church Council on Justice and Corrections, Governor of United Theological College of McGill University, and as founding Spiritual Director of the Montreal United Church Cursillo. He retired 1992. |

He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1954. He served in HMCS Donnacona for UNTD (Cadet Captain) 1954-1957. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1957). In 1957 he served in HMCS Donnacona. (He was released 1964.) (Re-joined Canadian Forces). He was appointed as a Major (CHAP) (R) (CF). He served as a Canadian Forces Chaplain. (He was released 1992). In 1999, he was appointed as Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of The Royal Montreal Regiment. |
