He was appointed as an Able-Seaman RNCVR. He served in HMCS Galiano 1918. (He was lost in HMCS Galiano in a storm off Vancouver Island BC 31/10/1918 - his was the only body recovered, picked up by the trawler G.F. Foster - about 28 miles off Cape St. James). |
