Biography

 

Military Service

He was one of the initial sponsors of the formation of the Royal Naval Canadian Volunteer Reserve in Victoria BC in 1913 and one of first two officers commissioned in RNCVR. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 01/08/1914). He served in HMCS Shearwater II (No.1 Company RNCVR) 1914. He was appointed as a Lieutenant RNCVR (With seniority dated 28/07/1915). He served in HMCS Shearwater II 1915. He served in HMCS Shearwater II as Additional for Duty in Submarines 1917. He served in HMCS Niobe For duty with Submarines 1917. (He was released 01/05/1920.)
