He came from a town near Blackpool UK. He was qualified as an Amateur Radio Operator prior to joining the Dominion Wireless Service as a W/T Operator 1913c. He was an Operator at Estevan Point Radio Station. He operated at the Pachena, Estevan, Digby, Dead Tree Point and Alert Bay wireless stations. In 1949 he left as OIC Alert Bay Radio Station. In 1956 he retired as OIC of the victoria Radio Station. |

Frank Statham states "He was in the process of boarding the FVP "Galiano" in November of 1918 as his transfer from Triangle Island Wireless had come through. His transfer was canceled at the last moment and he was saved from being lost on the "Galiano" when it foundered." |
