Biography
He emigrated to Canada in 1939. After his naval service he moved to Oliver BC and then to Osoyoos BC managing a hardware and lumber business and farming an orchard and running a ski development at Mount Baldy BC.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Private Canadian Army 1941. He served in Ordinance Company Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps in 4th Canadian Armoured Brigade 1941, (Transferred to RCAF 17/07/1942). He was appointed as a AC 2/c RCAF 17/07/1942, Leading Aircraftsman RCAF 21/02/1943. He served in RCAF Fort William for #2 Elementary Flying Training School 1943. He served in RCAF Yorkton SK for #11 Service Flying Training School 1943. He was Awarded Wings 19/08/1943, Sergeant Pilot RCAF 19/08/1943, #2 Bombing and Gunnery School as Staff Pilot 1943. (CFR). Flying Officer RCAF 19/02/1944, Armament Training Squadron 1944. He served in RCAF MacDonald for #3 Bombing and Gunnery School 1944, Released 14/03/1945, (Transferred to RNVR 1945). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR 12/04/1945. He served in H.M.S. Seaborn 1945. He served in H.M.S. Macaw for Training 1945, RAF Tealing for #9 AFU 1945. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 12/04/1945). He served in RNAS Hinstock for Instrument Training 1945. He served in RNAS Zeals for OTU 1945. He served in RNAS Yeovilton in 759 RN Squadron 1945. (He was demobilized 08/03/1946.)
