He came from Westmount QC.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant RCNVR. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/10/1942). He served in #13 Elementary Flying Training School. (He was awarded Wings 03/11/1944). He served in #31 Service Flying Training School. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 12/10/1943). He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 759 RN Squadron 1945. (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
