Biography
He was the father of Rear-Admiral E.W. Finch-Noyes RCN. He was a fruit farmer at the time of his recruitment into the navy.

 

Military Service

He was appointed as a Mate RNCVR (With seniority dated 31/05/1917). In 1917 he served in HMCS Rainbow as Additional for Training and Disposal. (He was demobilized), (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (SB) (Miscellaneous) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 09/01/1941). He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant-Commander (SB) (Miscellaneous) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/12/1941). In 1943 he served in HMCS Kings (Officer's Training Establishment). (He was demobilized 23/02/1945.)
