Biography
After his naval service he worked as a civil engineer with Sir Alexander Gibb and Partners to 1954. Then he joined Atomic Energy of Canada at Chalk River ON to 1965. Afterwards he worked with Acres Consulting Services to 1984. Retired 1984.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Airman 2/c RNVR (With seniority dated 14/10/1940). He served in #48 Observer's Course 1941. (CFR). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 25/04/1942). He served in H.M.S. Victorious for 817 RN Squadron 1942. He served in H.M.S. Furious for 817 RN Squadron 1942. He served in H.M.S. Indomitable for 817 RN Squadron 1943. He served in RNAS Daedalus for 817 RN Squadron for Barracuda Conversion 1943. He served in RNAS Machrihanish for 817 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Indomitable for 817 RN Squadron 1944. He served in RNAS Ulunderapet for 817 RN Squadron 1944. He served in RNAS Katakarunda for 817 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Blackcap and H.M.S. Ringtail as Signals Officer 1945. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNVR (With seniority dated 01/06/1945). (He was demobilized 10/05/1946.) (In November 1942 was observer in Albacore on patrol from H.M.S. Victorious and caught a U-boat on the surface and disabled it with depth charges. The German crew were captured by an escort destroyer.)
