Biography
Private pilot’s license from the Kingston Flying Course – 1948. Received Air Cadet Award from # 58 Air Cadet Squadron. Awarded the Webster Trophy for the Top Amateur Pilot – Canada – 1951. Joined Trans Canada Air Lines - 1951. He was President of Brampton flying Club – 1967-1971. He was a founding member of World War I Flying Museum – 1970. He was Chief Pilot for Avro Lancaster for Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. He flew a 1937 Lockheed L10A for Air Canada.First Officer – 1951-1959. Captain – 1957-1991. Supervisory Pilot, Douglas Dakota-8 – 1977-1985. Supervisory Pilot, Boeing 747. Flight Training Manager, Boeing 747 – 1987-1991. Retired 1991. Received awards from the Federation Aeronautique International (Parts) for Canada and Air Canada for Excellence

He was appointed as a Midshipman RCN(R) (With seniority dated 04/01/1954). He served in HMCS Cataraqui for VC-921 Reserve Squadron 1954. (He was released.)
