Biography
After his naval service he worked as the Administrator of the Psychology Department of Dalhousie University. He was the President of the Nova Scotia Naval Officer's Association in 1976 and 1977.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a AC/2 RCAF in 1942-45. He served in Flying Training With RCAF. (Awarded wings) (Transferred to RNVR 1945), (Transferred to RCNVR (With seniority dated 29/09/1945). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR 29/09/1945). (Short Service Appointment commencing 09/09/1947). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 29/09/1946). He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCN Air Station Dartmouth in 743 Squadron 1947. He served in HMCS Stadacona as Additional 1948. He served in HMCS Shearwater and HMCS Magnificent for 825 Squadron 1948. He served in HMCS Shearwater for School of Naval Aircraft Maintenance 1950. He served in HMCS Iroquois (Korean War Service) 1951. He served in HMCS Shearwater for VS-880 Squadron 1953. He served in HMCS Naden to Establish Air Squadron 1954, (Selected for permanent commission). He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN (With seniority dated 29/09/1954). He served in HMCS Naden for VU-33 Squadron as Commanding Officer 1954). He served in NHQ for Naval Plans 1956. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Flight Deck Officer 1956. He served in HMCS Stadacona on Staff of FOAC for Special Duty as Canadian Naval Liaison Officer Bermuda 1963. He served in HMCS Stadacona on Management Engineering Staff 1965. (He was retired 01/08/1969.)
