She was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) 1989. In 1989 she served in the Naval Officer Training Centre (Esquimalt) for the Reserve Mars Qualifying Course. She was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (MARS(R)) 1989. She was appointed as a Lieutenant(N) (NR). She was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (NR). She served in HMCS Discovery as Commanding Officer 2008-2011. (She was released.)
