Biography
After his naval service he studied Commerce (Urban Land Economics) at University of British Columbia. He was accredited as a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Canada 1975.
 
Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (E) (Temp.) RCNVR 1945. He served in HMCS Discovery. He served in HMCS St. Hyacinthe for Courses 1945. He served in HMCS Discovery 1946, (Transferred to RCN 1946). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN 1946. He served in HMCS Stadacona for #1 RCN Technical Officer's Course 1946. He served in HMCS Warrior for Sea Training 1946. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (L) RCN. He was appointed as an A/Lieutenant (L) RCN 1946. He served with Canadian General Electric (Peterborough ON) for Industrial Production Training 1947. He served in HMCS Stadacona for HMC Electrical School for Ship's Electrical and Electronic Course 1947. He served in H.M.S. Ariel for Air Electrical (Avionics) Long Course 1947. He served in HMCS Stadacona for RCNAS Dartmouth as Deputy Station Electrical Officer 1951. He served in HMCS Magnificent for 30th Carrier Air Group as Group Air Electrical Officer 1952. He served in HMCS Naden for HMC Dockyard Esquimalt as Electronics Officer 1953. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (L) RCN (With seniority dated 01/09/1953). He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1963). He served in HMCS Cape Scott as Senior Technical Officer 1965. He served in NDHQ as Director Ship Maintenance and Repair 1966. He served in CFHQ on Staff of Director General Intelligence as Head of Technical Intelligence 1968. He served in CFB Rockcliffe as A/Director Electronic and Communications Maintenance (Materiel Command) 1969. (He was retired 1972.) (He was qualified for air electrical engineering duties.)
