Military Service

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNZVR. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for #28 Pilot Training Course. He served in #24 Elementary Flying Training School. He served in #31 Service Flying Training School. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) (Temp.) RNZVR, RAF Manston for 841 RN Squadron 1943. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (A) (Temp.) RNZVR. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent for 786 RN Squadron as Commanding Officer 1944. He served in RNAS Crail for 786 RN Squadron as Commanding Officer 1944. (He was demobilized.)
