Biography
He was living in Lachine QC at the time of his recruitment into the navy. His father founded and operated Dorset Specialty Chemicals in Montreal QC. He is the older brother of James Flaherty, Conservative Minister of Finance in the Stephen Harper government. Ted owned Dorset Specialty Chemicals.

 

Military Service
He was appointed as a Naval Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 1959). He served in HMCS Scotian for UNTD (St.FX) 1958-1960. (He was released.)
