Biography
After his naval service he worked with Flavelle Cedar Products, Lamb-Cargate Logging Machinery and National Cover Retractable Roofs.

He was appointed as a Midshipman RCNVR (With seniority dated 21/09/1939). He served in the Vancouver Division RCNVR 1939. He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR 1940. (Mobilized for World War Two service). He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 01/03/1941). He served in HMCS Stadacona 1941. He served in HMCS Matapedia for Commissioning Party 1941. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 21/09/1942) (Later backdated to 1941). He served in HMCS Haligonian as Commanding Officer Reserve Division UNTD and Sea Cadet Training 1942. He served in RCAF St. Eugene for #13 Elementary Flying Training School 1944. (He was awarded Wings 17/11/1944) He served in RCAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training School 1944. He was Awarded Wings 17/11/1944. He served in RAF Errol for #9 AFU for Advanced Flying Training 1945. He served in RNAS Hinstock for Instrument Flying 1945. He served in RNAS Yeovilton for 759 RN Squadron 1945. He served in RNAS St. Merryn for Air to Air Firing 1945. He served in RNAS Ayr for 768 Squadron 1945. He served in H.M.S. Bambara for Conversion to Hellcat 1945. He served in RNAS Trincomalee for Operational Training Unit 1945. He served in H.M.S. Begum for 787 RN Squadron 1945, (He was demobilized 04/02/1946). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 21/09/1941). He served in HMCS Shearwater for #1 Training Air Group 1949. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (P) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/07/1948). He served in HMCS Discovery 1946. (He was released.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
