Biography
(He was qualified as a Master Mariner #2330). He served in the brig St. Michael as Master (1886-1887). He served in the bark Mac E. Cann as Master (1887-1888). He served in the bark H.B. Cann as Master 1888-1892. He arrived in Victoria BC in 1892. He served in the steam schooner Mischief as Master. He served in the tug Vancouver as Master 1897-1899. He served in the Lapwing as Master/Owner 1899-1900. He served in the Danube as Master 1900. He served in the Tees as Master 1901. He served in the Joan as Master 1903. He served in the City of Nanaimo as Master 1905-1906. (He was qualified as a Marine Pilot in the Nanaimo Pilotage District 07/04/1907). He was later a Pilot in the British Columbia Pilotage District. He was Pilot for the Harrison Line. He served as a Pilot to 1929. He was retired on 31/12/1929.
