Biography
After his naval service he worked as the Manager of the Royal Canadian Flying Clubs Association. Then he spent ten years as the Coordinator of the DND Energy Management Program and as a Contracts Disputes Officer. (He retired again in 1985.)
 
Military Service
He was a Direct Entry from the Aviation Industry. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) (A) (A/E) RNVR (With seniority dated 21/09/1942). He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent 1942. He served in H.M.S. Victory for Divisional Course 1942. He served in RNAS Crail for Familiarization Course 1942, Qualified for Air engineering Duties. He served in RNAS Lee-on-Solent in Merlin Engine Special Repair Party No.2 1943. He served in H.M.S. Garuda for RN Aircraft Repair Yard Coimbatore South India for Air Engineering Duties 1943. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (A) (AE) RNVR (With seniority dated 21/03/1945). He served in H.M.S. Attacker as Air Engineering Officer 1945. He served in RNAS Belfast for Air Engineering Duties 1946, Released and Transferred to Supplementary Reserve 01/04/1946, Afterwards worked in aircraft industry as field services engineer in the Middle East and Germany for A.V. Roe and English Electric 1946-51. (Transferred to RCN(R) 01/08/1951). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/08/1951). He served in HMCS York 1951. (Short Service Commission 01/02/1952). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (E) (A/E) (SSA) RCN (Seniority dated 21/03/1945) (Appointed 01/02/1952). He served in HMCS Shearwater for Air Engineering Duties 1952. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (E) (A/E) RCN (With seniority dated 23/06/1953). He served with Fairey Aviation as Naval Air Technical Liaison Officer 1953. He served in HMCS Shearwater for Carrier Air Group as Group Air Engineering Officer 1954. He served in HMCS Magnificent as Air Engineer Officer 1956. He served in NHQ on Staff of Director of Naval Flight Safety as Staff Officer (Engineering) 1956. He served in HMCS Bonaventure For Marine Engineering Training 1958. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Marine Engineer Watchkeeper Officer 1959. He served in HMCS Stadacona on Staff of Flag Officer Atlantic Coast on Staff of Command Technical Officer 1960. He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1963). He served in NDHQ as Assistant Director Naval Program Control 1963. He served in CFHQ as Deputy Director of Capital Programme 1966. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Air Engineer Officer 1966. He served in NDHQ as Deputy Director CF-5 Program 1968. (He was retired 23/06/1971.)
