Biography
He was educated at Upper Canada College and Trinity College at the University of Toronto. After his naval service he worked as an accountant with Hiram Walker - Gooderham Worts Distillers for 35 years in Windsor ON.
 
Military Service
(Supplementary Reserve 01/10/1939). He served in HMCS York 1939, (Mobilized for World War Two service). He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 24/07/1942). He served in HMCS York 1940. He served in H.M.S. King Alfred for Training 1940. He served in H.M.S. Excellent for Anti-Aircraft Gunnery School 1940. He served in DEMS as Anti-Aircraft Guard in English Channel Convoys 1940. He served in RNAS Eastleigh for Introduction to Flying 1941. He served in RAF Elmdon for #14 Elementary Flying training School in #26 Pilot Training Course 1941. He served in RAF Kingston for #31 Service Flying Training Course 1941. He served in RNAS Crail for Operational Training. He served in RNAS Arbroath for Deck Landing Training. He served in RNAS Wingfield South Africa for 789 RN Squadron 1942. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 24/07/1941). He served in RNAS Tanga (East Africa) for #796 RN Squadron as Senior Pilot 1943. He served in USNAS Lewiston ME USA for 738 RN Squadron 1944. He served in USNAS Squantum MA USA for 856 RN Squadron 1944. He served in RNAS Machrihanish for 856 RN Squadron 1944. He served in RNAS Maydown for 856 RN Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Trumpeter for 846 Squadron 1944. He served in H.M.S. Premier for 856 Squadron as Senior Pilot 1944. (He was demobilized 05/09/1945.) He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN(R) (With seniority dated 24/07/1949 on the retired list). (He was released.)
