He was appointed as a Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RNAS (With seniority dated 07/12/1916). Serving with 12 Naval Squadron for less than a month, he was reassigned to #8 Naval Squadron (later 208 Squadron) on 18 August 1917. Flying the Sopwith Camel, Fowler scored six victories in 1918. Probationary Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS (With seniority dated 07/12/1916). He was appointed as a Flight Sub-Lieutenant RNAS 23/07/1917, He served in #12 (Naval) Squadron 1917. He served in #8 (Naval) Squadron 1917. (He was released for medical reasons (deafness) 06/1918. |
