Biography
After his naval service He served in Canadian National Railway as Agent Telegraph Operator 1947. He attended Queen's University for BComm Degree 1947-1950. He joined Mount Royal College Calgary as Director of Science 1972 and later at Mount Royal College as Registrar and Director of Admissions 1975, He was retired in 1987. He was the Past President Calgary Branch Naval Officers Association of Canada. He was Past President Royal Alberta United Services Institute.
 
Military Service
He joined the Auxiliary Battalion COTC (University of Sasatchewan), (Transferred to RCNVR). He was appointed as a Probationary Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 04/04/1942). He served in HMCS Unicorn 1942. He served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment) 1942. He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (Appointed 25/10/1942) (With seniority dated 08/06/1942). He served in HMCS Blairmore 1942. He served in HMCS Fleur de Lis. He served in HMCS Noranda. He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Temp.) RCNVR (With seniority dated 15/01/1944 later backdated to 1943). He served in HMCS Kings (Officer Training Establishment) for Short Navigation (n) Course 1945. He served in HMCS Kenogami 1944. (Transferred to RNVR for Fleet Air Arm. He served in H.M.S. St. Vincent for Training. He served in RNAS Arbroath. He served in RNAS Rattray for Qualification as Observer 1946. He served in RNAS Arbroath Special Air Communications Course, Worthy Down for Senior Officers Air Administration Course, 825 Squadron. He served in HMCS Warrior for Carrier Quaifications 1946. (He was demobilized 01/11/1946). (Transferred to RCN under CANDIV 47 Program). He was appointed as a Lieutenant (S) RCN (With seniority dated 22/07/1947). He served with the USN for Naval Supply Course 1950. He served in HMCS Naden for HMC Supply School for Course 1951. He served in HMCS Athabaskan as Supply Officer (Korean War Service) 1951. He served in HMC Supply School as Staff Officer 1952. He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (S) RCN (With seniority dated 01/07/1955). He served with the USN on Exchange to USNAS Atlantic City as Control Division Officer 1955. He served in HMCS Shearwater as Deputy Supply Officer 1958, Western University for MBA Program 1959, NDHQ on Staff of Supply Officer-in-Chief as Assistant Supply Officer-in-Chief (Administration) 1960, NDHQ as A/Director General Naval Supply (Plans), NDHQ as A/Director MSC (Personnel Stores). He was appointed as a Commander RCN (With seniority dated 01/01/1964). He served in HMCS Cornwallis as Commander Materiel 1964. He served with the USN for Senior Officer's Naval Supplyy Management Course Washington DC 1966. He served in HMCS Stadacona for HMC Dockyard Halifax as Logistics Control Officer 1966. He served in HMCS Bonaventure as Supply Officer 1967. He served at NDHQ as Director of Finance Capital 1969. He served at the Canadian Forces School of Management as Commandant 1970. (He resigned 01/07/1972.) (He was qualified with a Watchkeeping Certificate.)
